The transition from the girls' hostel to professional life truly felt like a bullet train, a fast, blur of memories that transformed students into specialists.
Hostel: Our Second Home
Leaving family behind was daunting, but the girls' hostel became our sanctuary. In those rooms, the "naughty girls" of Batch '96-01 traded homesickness for lifelong sisterhood. We weren't just roommates; we were each other's support system through the grueling pressure of Ayub Medical College.
Joy Amidst the Grind
Studying was undeniably hard, but the friendship made it possible. We balanced heavy textbooks with:
- Late-night music and spontaneous dance sessions to de-stress.
- Common room games that turned competitive and loud.
- Shared meals and endless tea that fueled our late-night study marathons.
The Bond That Lasts
We started as young medical students navigating a difficult path, and we emerged as strong, capable doctors. Looking back after 25 years, the exams have faded, but the days of joy and carelessness remain etched in our hearts. We survived the struggle because we had each other.
